About Your Coach

  Throughout history, great value and significance has been placed on one's name. If you take biblical literature as an example, names were indicative of the overall identity or prophetic posture of an individual or even a city. A name's meaning was often in direct correlation with their divine journey, impact, or purpose. Well, my name is Imani Mitchell and in the Swahili language, among some others, my name means Faith. I believe that it is of no coincidence that the meaning of my name has been the very core of my unrest as I continue to navigate through life in pursuit of divine purpose, posture and wholeness. And through my faith journey, God revealed my purpose; to walk with others as they pursue spiritual and personal growth and transformation.

I am convicted that my journey of faith is one that God is using as a relative and redemptive testimony for others. I am humbled by the opportunity to be called and used by God to be a proclaimer of His gospel. Licensed to preach the gospel in April 2022, I am passionate about faith formation through wholistic ministry, attending to the emotional, spiritual and mental health of God’s people.

As the founder and CEO of I.M. Faith Coaching, I have married my spiritual calling with my professional credentials as a Master Certified Professional Coach to assist others who struggle balancing their humanness with their understanding of spiritual wholeness. Regardless of ones spiritual beliefs and convictions, I believe that we are all connected to a higher purpose and are in perpetual pursuit of that interconnectedness. Through the vehicle of life coaching services, I develop intentional and authentic relationships that tend to my clients’ whole person and transformational needs and goals. 

My coaching strategy is informed by a variety of coaching modalities and is inclusive of tools such as exercises, questions, and other best practices. I am certified through the International Coaching Federation (ICF) accredited Certified Life Coach Institute. My professional certifications also include Certified Contracting Professional according to the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act requirements; and Certified Change Management Practitioner through the Prosci change management program. My academic achievements include a Bachelor of Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing from Claflin University; and a Master of Science degree in Public Communication from Drexel University.
